HELLO  everybody !!!     WELCOME girls and 

boys, we are very happy because there are some new pupils in English :

Julia and Gabriel in 6th. grade, and our mates from 5th. grade: Melisa, Xiaoqian, Camilo, Denis, Xin, Omar, Edward y Mouad.


The ENGLISH ADVENTURE has just started.........................and it has been with a lot of energy and enthousiam.

As you know, HALLOWEEN is celebrated in many countries and in United Kingdom too.

 For this reason we learnt about the origin and the tradition of this party.





 We dressed as monsters, pumkins, spiders and vampires. We listened and sang a Halloween song and we were fascinated with Álvaro's explanation about this topic.

La Federación de Baloncesto y el Ayuntamiento de Granada organizaron un concurso de dibujo relacionado con el baloncesto.

LA SEMANA SANTA EN UNITED KINGDOM

Tiene sus orígenes mucho antes de la llegada del cristianismo, se dice que su nombre se debe a la diosa Eostre, diosa anglosajona de la primavera y el amanecer.

EASTER EGGS

Intercambiar y comer los huevos de Pascua es una costumbre popular en muchos países. Tradicionalmente se hervían y se pintaban with different colours, son símbolo de la primavera.


EASTER BUNNY, EL CONEJO DE PASCUA
Es otra de las figuras clave de la Semana Santa, su origen proviene de Alemania. British children think que si se han portado bien y son buenos el conejito de pascua les traerá chocolate.

HOT CROSS BUNS
Son bollos dulces y blanditos con un adorno en forma de cruz.Actualmente se pueden encontrar durante todo el año, pero fueron servidos por primera vez en Viernes Santo. (EASTER FRYDAY).
 
EASTER BONNET 

Women and girls decorate hats in Easter and they participate in parades. They use flowers and rabbits.

¿Sabéis lo que es un cracker? Nuestro compañero Álvaro ha buscado información y así nos lo cuenta:
It is a brightly coloured paper tube, twisted at both ends. There is a" banger" inside. When pulled by two people will create a loud snapping "Crack" or "Bang". Crackers are specially used in Christmas Day. They were invented by Thomas Smith in 1846.

             Un cracker es un caramelo típico del Reino Unido que se come en Navidad. Está hecho de un tubo de papel brillante. Al tirar por los extremos explota y dentro lleva un regalito y un mensaje de afecto.(Álvaro 5º)
 

Nuestro compañero ha traido un cracker hecho por él para disfrutar en Navidad. La teacher nos ha enseñado uno auténtico pero todos podemos hacer como Álvaro. HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!! (Sofía 5º curso)
